A circle, meditative & atmospheric, like mist over a world still forming. Several atmospheric layers evoke the blend of the elements: the grit of stone, the flow of water, the lightness of air and the warmth of fire. The story of New York as the story of immigrants, as is mine as Tauiwi, of living between worlds.
Pigment grit carries migration: respectfully foraged earth from Aotearoa New Zealand (Te Kawerau ā Maki whenua), USA (gifted Oregon pigment & gifted Hawaii Pōpolo plant pigment), Japan & Italy. A seed for a freer world.
