Held: Sound Bath for Mothers & Women Holding It All

You hold your home together, your work, your people. In this circle, let yourself be held instead. This is 1.5 hours all to yourself.

You won't need to get anything right. You lie down, and the sound does the rest. Crystal singing bowls infused with the ranthia light body technique move healing frequencies through your body, to shift you out of fight-or-flight and into deep, parasympathetic rest. The kind of rest willpower can't reach on its own, the kind of deep rest you can't get on your couch.

We'll explore why we sometimes feel lost in Motherhood/Midlife, and what the transition from Maiden to Mother or Wise Woman means. You'll learn an easy somatic technique to regulate yourself in daily life, and we'll end with a rejuvenating sound bath.

When your nervous system deeply relaxes, everything gets easier: more energy, more headspace, better sleep, more capacity to respond than react. You leave more relaxed, at peace, and regulated enough to hold your life again.

What to expect:

  • Grounding, tea & mindfulness

  • Reflect on the changes from Maiden, to Mother/Wise Woman archetypes

  • A short somatic technique to take home with you

  • Journaling

  • Sound healing

What to bring:

  • Journal & pen

  • Water bottle

This circle is for:

  • Designed for mothers postpartum onwards, and women who aren't mothers. If you're holding it all and need restoration, this is for you.

Paint, Sip & Sound:
Cacao, Sound Bath & Earth Watercolour Workshop

This is a different kind of paint-and-sip: a meditative women's circle to soften the tension from all the responsibilities at home, work, or community. A chance to reconnect with flow, play, healing beauty and creativity.

We'll start with mindfully sipping heart-warming cacao (or tea, if you prefer). We’ll then connect with flowers and paint them using earth pigment watercolours.

No art experience needed. If you painted in kindergarten, you're already qualified. This isn't about the finished piece. It's a meditative practice that guides your nervous system out of doing and into feeling.

We close with a sound bath: crystal singing bowls infused with the ranthia light body technique, to move your nervous system from fight-or-flight into deep rest. You'll leave feeling more inspired and back home to yourself.

What to Expect

  • Grounding, Cacao/Tea & Mindfulness

  • Meditative Watercolour Workshop with flowers & earth pigment watercolours

  • Sound Bath: Crystal Bowl Sound Healing

Art Materials

Art materials will be provided. Earth pigment watercolours are included in your ticket as a rental for the session.

Meghan is an incredibly kind, empathetic person, and translates her own visions and perceptions in a truly accessible way. She is an amazing bridge between the world we know, and the one right beneath the surface. I have been very inspired and enlightened by her insights. Throughout our entire session she always maintains a professional atmosphere, and allows for questions.  I will be working with her again for sure, as it is always an uplifting and important experience to learn from Meghan's readings.

I’ve been to many sound journey meditations and Meghan’s sound journey session with me was the best I’ve ever experienced. The sound that came through her felt very ancient. It felt like the sound of the universe, the cosmos, and it felt like there were even layered sounds within sounds. I felt such peace, expansiveness and joy after the session.

- Lauren Orlina

I’m so grateful for everything she has done to help me begin healing spiritually to find some kind of equilibrium again.

Meghan has a presence filled with positive energy, peace, light and kindness. Her way of guiding is always at your pace and all about what you need in that moment. You never feel out of your depth or judged, and she always goes the extra mile to make sure you feel supported, whether she is with you physically or not.

I’m forever thankful to Meghan for being with me and helping me through. I have nothing but love and respect for this amazing wahine.

Reviews: Clients, Events, Space Holding

I am immensely thankful for Meghan's talent in energetically curating a space where my essence could be expressed with such fluidity. An outstanding space holder, Meghan has the gift of recognising and enhancing the sacred wholeness in others, thus elevating the gifts of their community in profound ways.

What an amazing experience it was to have collaborated with Meghan on the ‘Creation Circle’ workshop!

From the moment we thought of creating offerings together, to the planning and execution it was a wonderful experience.

Her knowledge and lovely energy made the entire process so easy and enjoyable. Looking forward to be able to co-create with Meghan further more in the future!

- Brian Berneman, Conscious Action

In my role as manager of The Depot Arts Centre I have the pleasure of meeting many creative people. Meghan both exhibited at The Depot and was a presenter at our Pecha Kucha night. I was totally captured by her articulate way of describing her artwork and practice, and I purchased one of her artworks.

I find the sense of life and energy in these works capture and transport the viewer to reflect on and engage in the topics and issues Meghan’s exploring through her art. Her work and the philosophy that informs it communicates that this is not something recent but in fact has been her pursuit from the beginning.

- Lynn Lawton, Depot Artspace Manager

Meghan has a beautiful aesthetic, exploring themes of unity, connectedness and the natural environment. It’s original and inspiring. As the Creative Director of Fly, I’ve enjoyed her enthusiasm, openness to new ideas and using her unique perspective to support our creative goals.

I believe Meghan can bring the unique, multicultural experience in New Zealand, with her aesthetic that has a global appeal.
